Here's some thank-yous and remembrances

From Their Excellencies

It takes a lot of people to make an event like Serjeantry Trials a success, and we thought it was very successful. Thank you to everyone who provided assistance, support or even just showed up to observe the Trials. Your presence was greatly appreciated.

Many thanks to Lady Adelheidi for being the Autocrat. There are many details involved in the set up and running of any event. Signs, gate, set up of the hall, paying for materials, etc. Lady Adelheidi did all this for us and it came together great.

It was absolutely a great thing to have lunch on site. When we initially set up the schedule we had thought that we might want to leave site to have lunch. But having it provided just made everything easier. It was tasty and everyone enjoyed having it available. Many thanks to THL Theodoric and Lady Aileen for making this happen.

Many thanks to THL Raffaella di Contino for manning the gate for as long as she did. This is one of those thankless chores that often ties someone to a specific location for a long time. She also traveled a distance to attend our Trials and provide testing services as well. Thank you Raffaella!

Our retinue and Court Staff provided awesomely stunning service to us the entire day, as usual. I’m constantly humbled by how much they give to us. There are not words enough to thank them for all they do. Thank you Tsuruko Sensei, Dame Gwenllyn Potter, and THL Caius Foxcotte (Herald EXTRAORDINAIRE!!!!) for everything you do for us.

We really could not have made this happen without the organizational support of Dame Ellen Fraser. She took our wild ideas and constant changes in direction and made them fit into a workable plan. She built the schedule and ensured that we had testers for every portion of the judging process. Thank you Dame Ellen.

The testers were all fantastic in their support. Many of them drove a distance and took time out of their busy Yuletide schedule to support our first Trials. We appreciate their help a great deal. These people include Master Ralg Njalsson, THL Angharad Albanes, THL Mateusz z Plocka, Dame Brighid Ross, THL Theodoric the Scholar, THL Gabrielle de Cameron, Tsuruko Sensei, THL Pernell Camber, THL Raffaella di Contino, THL Anghard ver’ Reynulf, Master Sven Red Beard Einarson, and THL Katheryn de Gonneville.

A special thank you to THL Alaricus Simmonds. As our Sargent, he ensured he was always available to provide support as needed. We especially appreciated that he took our changes to the program and embraced them fully and came up with ideas that fully supported our vision. He provided constant feedback and sound opinions. Thank you very much Alaricus!!!!

Thank you to all who helped take down the hall. Your services were greatly appreciated. We were all tired by then and to have everything packed away and straightened up in such a timely manner was definitely appreciated.

And finally, a big thank you to all who showed up for the day. It was a long day of testing, but everyone was engaged and supportive the entire day. We can thank you enough for providing such a positive energy to the Trials. This was as important to the success of this event as anything else that was done. Thank you for being there.

We certainly didn’t need convincing, but this was all just further proof that Dragon’s Laire is the greatest Barony in An Tir!!!! Thank you for making this so!!!
