Peerless Personages - a history

Many fine gentles have been associated with Dragons' Laire over the years. A  broad selection of such gentles is reflected in this history of past Coronets and Royal Peers, Champions, Members of the Sargeantry and, of course, our own home grown peers. Titles listed may not reflect current rank of individuals.

Royal Patrons:  In the early '90's. the crown of An Tir established a system of royal patrons to provide guidance and ceremonial functions for branches contemplating advancement and their smaller counterparts. Earl Sir Strider of Duramen and Countess Katheryn d hil Lorriel  were appointed Dragons' Laire's Royal Patrons in January, 1993 and served in that capacity until our elevation in June 1995 into a Barony.

Our Elevation to Baronial Status at June Faire, 1995 ushered in a new era for Dragons' Laire. Both our responsibilities and privileges were increased. And for the first time we had our own representatives of the Crown in the persons of a Baron and Baroness, also referred to as the Coronets. The Coronets act as ceremonial heads of the branch and often  function as the spiritual heart of the branch in many unquantifiable ways.

 Baroness:

Viceroys: Circumstances sometimes lead to Coronets leaving office before their successor can be chosen. In such cases the Crown appoints Viceroys to fill the void.

Baronial Champions: Champions are chosen in rigorous competitions. For information on our Current Champions visit the Champion's Corner. And see A&S Championship Competition for a peek inside the competition.
