Doomsday Book Of An Tir
Long ago and far away. Oops, not so far away, right here in the Kingdom of An Tir.
In A.S. XX, a decree went out from their Majesties to all the Baronies and Shires and Cantons and Colleges and all the people of An Tir. Their Majesties wishing to know more of the places and people of Their Kingdom called on each branch to make an accounting of itself in the manner of the great Doomsday Book produced in the 11th century for the kingdom of Britain.
The result was a collection of nearly 400 linen pages, bound between decorated wooded covers, depicting the boundaries, devices and personas of the people and places of An Tir.
The Shire of Dragons Laire produced 8 pages included in the book. Lady Alexis Morgause penned the calligraphy, Murakami Tsuruko (now Our Baroness) provided the illumination and Malcolm of the Northern Shore produced the map of the Shire.
