Bobbin Lace Class Offered!

     THL Kassandra offers bobbin lace classes in her home. This hand-made art form twists and knots multiple threads over a supporting pillow into a strong lace suitable for garb and other items. Kassandra will start with simple designs and teach you the techniques to create a wide variety of patterns from both modern and period sources.
     Beginning students will be able to borrow pillows, bobbins and other equipment and supplies from the instructor free of charge.
     More advanced projects will include making your own lace pillow and bobbins for the cost of supplies.
     Instruction can be individual or for small groups.  Day or Evening classes available.  Contact  Kassandra for scheduling.

Card Weaving Study Group  Greetings, The Card Weaving Study Group is moving to Thursday nights at Lady Khulan's home in conjunction with Archery and Thrown Weapons Practice. Anyone interested in joining us will be welcome. Bring two colors of crochet thread and $6.00 for cards and shuttle or bring your own.  Sample looms  will be available for use if needed.  It's never too late to start with this on-going study group From 6:00 to 8:30 p.m.

The Scribal type folks are a little wrung out still from their outstanding efforts on the recently completed pages for the 40th year An Tir Domesday Book. So activities may be a little slow for a while. But please feel free to contact them for more info.

Instead of doing classes and having homework during Tourney Season, we will be gathering once a month to share ideas, talk, and force ourselves to practice at least a little every month. Classes will start again in the fall.
