Several sub-groups have been organized within the Barony to study specific aspects of life in the Middle Ages. Some, like Games Night, are merely a time to meet with others and pursue a specific interest. Others are more structured, patterning themselves after Medieval Guilds with rankings, badges and specific membership goals. Both organizational styles offer an opportunity to work with and learn from others in specific areas of interest. Classes are frequently offered and the listed contact person can act as an informational resource on the subject. The guilds and other groups often take active roles in our events by sponsoring competitions, displays, or classes..
Some of our local guilds, like Costumer's, act as local branches of Kingdom or Known World Guilds. Some are strictly local and others, embrace both SCA members and non-members. Generally all interested parties are welcome. Structure within the guilds varies and is determined by the participants. Below are short descriptions of these groups and activities and navigational links to additional information.
