Article Archives This collection of articles on the arts, sciences and other aspects of the SCA is maintained for the edification and amusement of members of Dragon's Laire and other interested parties. All articles have been supplied by their authors. Copyright remains with the author.
Currently, the archives are divided into three categories: SCA Culture, Practicum, and Research. SCA Culture covers living and playing in the current middle ages, including rules of the game, philosophy and culture of the game, practical advice and humor. The Practicum includes how-tos, both for modern and period items or activities. The Research section concentrates on reconstructing the Middle Ages, covering both artifacts and culture. Many articles may be listed in more than one category or I may just have it miss filed , so check more than one place for the info you need. Also be sure to check out Anecdotal Evidence at the bottom of the page. These stories, scattered across the website, use personal points of view to illustrate the magic of the SCA.

Articles for the Archives are eagerly sought. The copyright remains with the author and articles will be removed at any time at the request of the author. Articles may address many topics, including historical research related to the medieval period, how to subjects and topics related to any aspect of the SCA. Both unpublished and previously published articles are acceptable. Short articles written for newsletters or site handouts are often good candidates, as are longer papers written as Arts and Sciences contest entries and even your Master's Thesis. Bibliographies, especially annotated bibliographies, are also desired. Even notes you may have assembled for a class you taught may make good submissions. Query the webminister for specific instructions on submitting your work.
